Spinal Flow Technique
As part of your initial consultation, you will receive two different types of assessments and a 30 minute spinal flow session. Posture assessments are to observe deviations in your posture and the second is to physically palpate the spine to observe spinal blockages.
Posture & Spinal Blockage Assessment

Once you have had your initial consultation you will our treatment plan. Our treatment plans are 12 sessions followed by monthly maintenance sessions. Each session is 45 minutes long and should be completed within an short term period, i.e., within one month.
Spinal Flow Treatment Plan

Once clients have completed their treatment plan it is recommended to continue to have maintenance sessions to regulate and maintain their nervous system and avoid stress from storing on the spine. Just like you would visit the hairdresser or nail technician.
Nervous System Healing Maintenance

Understanding Spinal Flow

Developed by Dr Carli Axford after more than 20 years in chiropractic practice — including work with the Texas Back Institute — Spinal Flow is a gentle, neurologically focused healing modality designed to support the body’s natural ability to regulate and restore itself.
At KORE+ Wellness, we are proud to offer this unique nervous system approach in the North East.
What Is Spinal Flow?
Spinal Flow works with the brain, spinal cord, and spine using specific access points known as the 7 Gateways of the nervous system.
Through gentle touch, palpation, and postural assessment, we identify where physical, emotional, or chemical stress may be stored within the body. Rather than treating conditions directly, Spinal Flow supports improved communication between the brain and body — encouraging the release of spinal blockages and restoring natural flow.
The Spinal Wave
When the nervous system reconnects and begins to regulate, the body may express a natural healing response known as a Spinal Wave — subtle movements, deeper breath, and a sense of ease as tension releases.
What It May Support
Clients seek Spinal Flow for support with:
• Stress and anxiety
• Headaches and migraines
• Neck, back, hip, and shoulder tension
• Sciatica
• Digestive concerns
• Fatigue and sleep disruption
Spinal Flow is a gentle, restorative approach that works with your body’s innate intelligence — helping you move from tension and stress toward balance and flow.
Physical blockages develop when the body experiences mechanical stress or strain. This may include:
• Poor posture
• Repetitive movements
• Sedentary lifestyle
• Injury or trauma
• Birth stress or childhood falls
Over time, physical stress can create tension patterns within muscles and connective tissue around the spine. This may restrict movement, alter posture, and affect how the brain communicates with the body.
When the nervous system perceives ongoing physical stress, it may hold protective tension in certain spinal areas — reducing flexibility, breath capacity, and overall ease of movement.
Physical Blockages

Chemical stress relates to internal factors that influence how the body functions and regulates itself.
These may include:
• Chronic inflammation
• Hormonal imbalance
• Medication load
• Environmental toxins
• Poor nutrition
• Dehydration
Chemical stress can heighten nervous system sensitivity, placing the body into prolonged states of alert or fatigue. Over time, this may contribute to symptoms such as low energy, disrupted sleep, digestive discomfort, or brain fog.
Chemical Blockages
When experiences such as grief, trauma, anxiety, overwhelm, or long-term stress are not fully processed, the body may shift into protective patterns. This can show up as muscle tension, shallow breathing, fatigue, heightened alertness, or a sense of feeling “stuck.”
Over time, unresolved emotional stress may influence posture, movement, and nervous system regulation — particularly around the spine, where the brain and body communicate.
Emotional Blockages

Through gentle assessment of the 7 Gateways, Spinal Flow supports the safe release of stored physical, chemical, and emotional stress by improving communication between the brain and nervous system.
Rather than forcing change or “treating” symptoms, the body is given space to reconnect, regulate, and restore balance naturally — allowing its innate intelligence to release tension, adapt to stress, and move toward greater ease and flow.
